Subject: Deploying Softron Solutions in 24/7 Broadcast Operations

OnTheAir Video 4 was released in June, and it brings a lot of new features that allows 24/7 unattended scheduled playout. The scheduler has been greatly improved, with the ability to import playlists from the renowned traffic software WideOrbit. We can trigger SCTE events, we support more subtitling formats and live sources, we can control video routers, and more. This topic can be very complex, but don't worry: we'll be there for any questions you may have.

Live - Day 02 (Replay)

Subject: Using Softron in Non-Profit Organizations

For non-profit organizations, there may be some very specific production needs. Because they have users who are often not trained professionals, the solution has to be easy-to-use. The fact that our applications run on a Mac, rather than on a complex machine unfamiliar to non-professionals, greatly helps in that matter. The intuitive nature of our software makes it easy for everyone to learn, no matter their level of expertise.

These operations include, for example, recording a sports event on site, or for a live concert. We offer a number of applications that are perfectly suited to mobile productions. MovieRecorder and its edit-while-ingest feature has been an integral part of such workflows for many years. M|Replay is a valuable application on these sorts of projects, and it has been used at a number of sports productions worldwide: including a recent, very large event in Japan that was watched by millions of people from all across the planet. Virgil Beljambe

Virgil has always been an audiovisual and technology enthusiast. He spent his spare time during his childhood with a camera in his hands. After a significant background in French TV production and Local TV stations at the start of his career, Virgil joined the Softron Family in 2006 in Belgium as a Product Manager.

When he moved back to France to be a consultant, he kept working with Softron to improve his customers' workflow and the reliability of their TV playout solutions. But Virgil is before anything else an entrepreneur. So he launched with one business partner in 2009, CAP'TA PROD an OB company. Since then, travelling around the world and getting some experiences overseas mainly in Australia, he is running his company and diversifying it, to embrace the new broadcast market changes.
